A counter offer is needed

Never, never, never take the first offer, even if it meets your needs.

When you go back and ask for concessions you ensure you got the best deal possible. But studies reveal that by doing this you also increase your partner’s satisfaction as well.

 

When you make the other part work for the deal, they end up being more committed and work harder afterwards.

 

Remember everybody deserves to win. Everybody has to feel like a winner at the end of the negotiation. Going back and forth may seem like hard work, but it brings satisfaction to all parties involved.

 

Maybe you are one who deeply dislikes negotiation. If that is your case, remember that most people will want to work the deal and will feel more comfortable that way.
